The SiMU de Nantes, officially the Laboratoire Expérimental de Simulation de Médecine Intensive (Experimental Laboratory of Intensive Medicine Simulation) of the University of Nantes, allows doctors to improve their management of critical situations in anaesthesia-intensive care, general medicine, emergency medicine, neonatology, obstetrics, dentistry, paediatrics and medical resuscitation, with expert professionals trained to teach on high-fidelity patient simulators.
Simulation is a modern pedagogical tool dedicated to learning and maintaining skills in the health sciences sector. It allows learners to practice handling realistic situations in a safe environment, without risk to the patient.
The SiMU also conducts research activities on learning.
