Based at the École de Design Nantes Atlantique, Care Design Lab conducts research on health and societal and environmental well-being. It brings together public and private organisations and businesses, associations and individual stakeholders with the goal of creating, developing and testing (full-scale) sustainable, innovative and exploratory measures (services, methods, tools, products, spaces, etc).
Care’s research activities can be divided into three broad areas:
- Health: the interrelationship between preventive action and treatment, pathways and user experience (patients, health professionals, carers);
- Well-being (seniors, children, etc): lifestyle, ethics, autonomy, longevity, managing constraints, self-fulfilment;
- Responsible development (energy, waste, circular economy, etc).
