The Creative Factory by SAMOA is a workshop, a testing ground and a showcase for Nantes’s creative talent. Nantes Métropole has given the Creative Factory the following goals under a public service concession:
- drive and structure the cultural and creative industry sectors,
- develop and implement a comprehensive plan to offer support and advice to project carriers and entrepreneurs from the creative sector at every stage of their company’s development,
- build a specific financial support offer for artists, artist collectives and cultural operators.
The cluster is built around four ‘creative communities’ – DESIGN, CARE, CITY & MEDIA – and targets the Quartier de la création district on Ile de Nantes.
